Busy, Busy, Busy, Busy…

These past few days had been extremely busy – I had so many assignments in my online job that it was a wonder that I was still able to squeeze in some nap time in the afternoons. It was a good thing that I was in the 6 AM shift.

Today marks another change in the shifting schedule {sigh}. However, I am torn between loving the fact that I can wake up any time I want to but hating the fact that my “extra” time is very limited so that if I do have online assignments, I have to wake up considerably early for my usual wake up time. That means that instead of waking up at 10 or 11, I have to wake up at 7 or 8 {sigh}.

Sleep experts will, of course, tell me that what I am doing is wrong. I read somewhere that for the body to adjust to the shifting schedules of today’s working generation, the waking up hours should be at about the same time of the day. So does that mean that I have to wake up at 5:30 each day? No way! The experts fo know better but if I wake up that early everyday – even on days when I am on the afternoon shift – my body is going to fight and scream all the way so that I will be dragged to sleep even when I am at work. Uh-oh! Major memo at The Company πŸ™‚

Speaking of memos, I am expecting one to be handed my way in the next few days uh-oh. It’s just that I’ve had some really major errors which are considered a huge NO-NO at the company (aka front matter errors). And yep – before you all open your mouths and laugh at me – I admit those were my fault. Let’s just call it a major error of not looking if the article title was styled as article title {sigh}.

I was actually thinking that they would suspend me but Miss A and Mr D said that first offenders are sort-of excused – a bit. Well, I was actually secretly (haha) hoping for about 3 to 5 days of unpaid vacation from The Company so I could catch up on those assignments and those zzzzzzzz LOL Guess I can’t have a punishment that is not a punishment at all πŸ™‚

  1. hahaha.. i doubt if you will get suspended because of that ma’am.. ive had LOADS of those, but i have not tasted suspension .. teehee

  2. Wehehe! You can always turn down offers πŸ˜› I always expect a return email from you on job alerts with ‘i’m in’ as a response. But then you can always say no. Take a day off and do nothing but sleep. hehe! Normally, how many hours of sleep do you get Joy? :-/ (I’m good with 5 hours. Some days I get 4 or 3 and then I keep yawning all day.)

  3. to Maree: i do have a time to work on them but then like this week it got busy then the crazy brown outs came hehe plus my internet provider was down for several days 😦

to Lurchie: but i wish they’d give me some days off LOL

  4. to Maree: P.S. I need at least 8 hours of sleep to function well hehehe Oh, I’ve taken those days of absent from work and slept – so that my husband got confused why i was absent then just slept hehe

p.p.s. i was not really complaining about your work load πŸ™‚ i don’t want you to think that it burdens me πŸ™‚ it’s more of a complaint for having my real job that hinders me from writing because i have less time and i am tired. I am so glad to hear that you had quit your job πŸ™‚

  5. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

    and yes, 1st shift sucks.
    if you’re sleepy, sleep.
    if you’re tired, rest.
if you’ve made a mistake, grin.
